Exciting News – Project ‘Community Matters’ our Mobile Foodbank Goes Live from 1st March 2022

16th February 2022

We have recently bought a large van and had it converted to create a Mobile Foodbank. This has been funded by very kind financial donations alongside some large grants – for which we are very grateful. Thank you one and all.

This will allow us to travel out to all parts of our local area to reach people in need with a large range of items – including non perishable, fresh, chilled and frozen food plus other household items.

We are very aware that there are local people in need who we would love to be able to help so please do contact our referral agencies or us to discuss what help is available – You’re Not Alone.

Initially we will be visiting Aylesham and Elvington – but will expand our Mobile Foodbank services to other areas. You need to get a voucher or evoucher from one of our referral agencies but will then be able to go to the Mobile Foodbank to collect your food etc.

Keep an eye on our website (https://dealarea.foodbank.org.uk/) and Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/424574120921301) for information about where we are when and new venues.

This is a new venture for us and we will be learning as we go along what works and what does not – so please feedback any comments or suggestions about this new service.
